New in this release are the env, service, tags, and version settings, which can be used to describe and tag the application's traces and metrics automatically:

Datadog.configure do |c|
  c.env = 'production' # Can be set with DD_ENV
  c.service = 'billing-api' # Can be set with DD_SERVICE
  c.tags = { 'team' => 'accounts' } # Can be set with DD_TAGS
  c.version = '1.2.0.alpha' # Can be set with DD_VERSION
end
