For example, in a terrorist scenario, the sequence of events starts well before the police is involved, so well before you start the actual training. You would like to document that 'hidden' part too, even though it should not generate injects. One way to do this is to mark each 'inject' with a hidden attribute, meaning that it will never be send.

Non-linear timeline (to deal with large time jumps) could be useful in this case.
