First of all, great tool!
Since I went from v1.4.x to 1.6.0 and 1.6.1 I have bad performance, noticed it on 2 different machines already.
Both are running Windows 10 19041.572 and both are pretty fast machines (i7 7700K with 32GB RAM for example).

If I select a conversation, it takes 5 or even more seconds before the window is responsive again. The same goed for when I start typing, it just freezes whenever I do anything. The cursor also stays the same, e.g. a text input cursor or hand cursor, it doesn't change if I hover certain elements.

Opening Whatsapp desktop itself (version 2.2041.6) works as it should, so it has to do something with WhatsappTray.

Any clues? Anything I can try to debug?

I just installed v1.5.0 because the lack performance was unbearable, works fine. So it's got something to do with a change between 1.5.0 and 1.6.0.

Could you try WhatsappTrayV1.6.1.1.zip i also had problems and i think it has to do with the logging from the hook inside WhatsApp.
I made it asynchronous now and hope that it will fix it. Please try it out and report back.
Thank you
