Ticket # | Question | Answer |
---|---|---|
2174 | We would like to get clarifications for the following doubts we have when implementing the get metrics v5 endpoint: Question 1 There are multiple stages in the abandonmentsByStage metrics for an example; stage 1, stage 2, stage 3, stage 4 If the user follows the following sequence before abandoning the consent, which stage should these specific flows be categorized in the abandonmentsByStage metric? Scenario 1 stage 1 -> stage 2 -> abandoned(according to our understanding this should be considered as an abandonment for stage 2) Scenario 2 stage 1 -> stage 2 -> stage 3 -> stage 2(goes back to stage 2 from stage 3 before abandoning the consent flow) -> abandoned Question 2 If the user has entered the same stage multiple times by going back and forth, should the latest timestamp be considered for that particular stage or the 1st timestamp when the user visited that stage for abandonment? |
There are many permutations in this scenario and often they depend on how the Data Holder has implemented the authorisation flow. As a result there is a lot of discretion given to Data Holders in how to answer these questions. In general, the guidance we have been giving is that the furthest stage reached should be the one reported even if a user backtracks. |
2188 | Can you please confirm that we can supplies zeros for previous periods as required immediately after implementing new versions of get metrics in cases where the metric is an addition (as we accrue data)? | or periods for which you have no data you can supply zeroes or leave out those elements of the previousDays and previousMonths fields. Note that for some of the metrics a zero can appear like a valid number (such as abandonmentsByStage in v5) so if you are using that approach you may wish to advise the ACCC when the real data will flow so that they don't misunderstand your data. |
Attendees are invited to raise topics related to the Consumer Data Right that would benefit from the DSB and ACCCs' consideration.
