In latest version - 0.1.b2-AppImage-x86_64.618 (build 618) i get license error.
Minecraft works with no error in previous version - 0.1.b1-AppImage-x86_64.617 (build 617).
I am using a specific .apk file setup, as the launcher failed to unzip 1.16.201.01 apk.

  1. I successfully imported a 1.14.25.1 x86 apk.
  2. In GameData i copied lib and assets folder from 1.16.201.01 x86 apk into the 1.14.25.1 folder.
  3. Conflicting files were replaced by those from 1.16.201.01 apk.

Also, i get the license error with the 1.14.25.1 apk in new version but not in the old one.

I'm getting the License error on a Mac Big Sur with legal version purchased from the Google play store, any ideas?

  • Logout in Launcher Settings
  • Login again to google in Launcher Settings
  • Test if you can download not installed Minecraft versions
If that fails the launcher and I cannot verify your license.

I added this feature to make pirating the game with this launcher harder, which is against the Terms of Service of Github.

It was a clean install then I updated to the latest version inside the launcher before trying to launch the game (and then login to Xbox live).

Instead I "fixed it" by deleting everything, then not updating to latest launcher, login to Xbox live first. I haven't risked updating the launcher as I had already spend 3 hours installing every known Android emulator on MacOS with zero success!

I thought Minecraft required a xbox live account anyway, isn't that enough protection?

On a separate note, I'd like to thank you for your amazing work. I've been running the Android version on Linux for sometime and the graphics performance is amazing on old Intel iGPUs (2012 laptops).

You get or create such an xbox account for free it has no license for the Android version attached, nor any right to download the game.
