Talk description

As DSGVO/GDPR and other privacy laws apply on most digital projects nowadays, they imply some restrictions and alternative workflows compared to some standards of the last decade.
This presentation will look into some common problems:

  • §15 of DSGVO/GDPR grants users the right to request all data associated with them and how it is used. If not planed for this possibility, this can create a lot of work on top of daily responsibilities.
  • Cookie banner: The bad, ugly and necessary. How can they be improved? Less annoying for users? Be more accessible?
  • Third party integrations
  • Using external hosting, maybe even cloud hosting provided by non-european companies
  • Conforming to non-european privacy laws, e.g. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
