HiPS can be used to handle spherical data including polar points.
HiPS is a technology designed to handle astronomical data and has been applied to planetary data. https://aladin.cds.unistra.fr/hips/list
I made a concrete sample program: https://github.com/mugwort-rc/cesiumjs-hips-experimental
Please refer to the following links for technical details: https://zenn.dev/mugwort_rc/scraps/7c85c6046f8e91
Currently, I do not know how to determine the number of tiles needed from the field of view information.
If I get help, I will implement an appropriate tile loading process.
I would like to use it like an ImageryProvider, but how best to implement so?
