Computing and quantifying the cell flows within the placozoa

Another important part of the understand the wound healing mechanisms is cell dynamics within the organism. To better understand how the cells are moving in the organism, one could compute flows based on the image changes over time. Some algorithms already exist.

Difficulties

  • The algorithms and mathematics behind image flow reconstruction might be a bit difficult to approach
  • Visualization of flows can be tricky
