Revealed hint fields are hidden again if any field is edited

If you reveal one or several hint fields during review – and then edit any field – all revealed hint fields become reset to hidden again once you click out of the edited field.

{{hint:field-a}} - I reveal this during review
{{hint:field-b}} - I reveal this during review
{{edit:field-c}} - I then edit this → and field a and b are hidden and need to be re-revealed.

Is there any way at all that this can be avoided?

Could it be remedied with some JavaScript code added to the card template that keeps track of the state of the hint fields perhaps?
