Screen sometime clears with no apparent pattern

I've observed this kind of behaviour with intel and nvidia graphics card, but the intel one sometime has a corrupt console instead of a completely black one on my nVidia GPU.

This happened while a single chrome tab with one youtube video open, OCemu was opened and the issue happened as I opened Clover (Explorer.exe tabbed wrapper).

EDIT:Changing screen resolution also appears to trigger this effect

I'm not sure how related this is, but when "lock"/switch users on windows, the screen also clears.
