I am not sure if all European macromoths are already available on the website and in the app, but as moths will most probably be used in the EUPOMS monitoring, it would be good to have a full list available. This is the current species list as used in the upcoming Red List for Moths in Europe. Would be good if it could be made available.
@chrisvanswaay we can compare the list we currently have with this. I'm sure there'll be updates. Does the new list also come with additional information such as a taxon hierarchy (families etc) and authorities for the names. Are there any plans to formally publish the list in the same way the butterfly list is published? Is there any information on the European countries that each moth is present in.
I can ask to add families and authorities, as they are also part of the taxonomy in the RL. I don't think there is a plan to make it a formal list, but I can ask.
I have uploaded the species list, including the authority and the family. I have also uploaded a concept of the country of occurrence for each species. We are still finalizing this piece, but it is about 99% ready.
