Lutte Arcade is an on-chain arcade fighting game set in the Lootverse. The game combines the deep strategy and moveset of titles like Yomi Hustle with the intense, roguelike combat of games like Darkest Dungeon.
Players begin by selecting one of three starting characters, each with a completely unique set of attacks, defensive maneuvers, and special abilities.
Once a character is selected, the player faces off against reimagined versions of the beasts from Loot Survivor and other enemies.
Gameplay
The gameplay loop is divided into two distinct phases:
(1) Offensive:
In this phase, the player selects from a set of available attacks. Each character has a unique assortment of moves, including light, heavy, piercing, blunt, backstab, fire, and more. Special attacks are also character-specific.
For example, one character might have a special ability called "Mimicry," which allows them to copy and use the opponent's last attack, while another character might have "LifeSwap."
Once an offensive move is selected, the enemy will randomly choose a defensive move from their options, and the round will be resolved.
(2) Defensive:
After the offensive phase is completed, the game transitions to the defensive phase. Here, the player must choose a defensive move in anticipation of the opponent's attack. Just like the offensive phase, each character has a unique set of defensive abilities.
For instance, a character with a shield might be able to block attacks completely, while another character may rely on counters or evasive maneuvers.
This loop continues until one of the characters is defeated.
Lutte Arcade distinguishes itself in three unique ways:
1. Single-player Focus: The game will primarily emphasize a single-player experience, concentrating on a PvE mode.
2. Expanding the Lootverse: The lore and worldbuilding of Loot have been vastly underutilized. Lutte seeks to change this by crafting a narrative-driven experience with characters and enemies inspired by the Lootverse.
3.Utilizing Cross-Ecosystem Assets: Lutte will reimagine and incorporate assets from across the Realms/Biblio ecosystem, starting with the beasts from Loot Survivor and Blorbert.
4. Benefits for Realm Holders: Each Realm holder will be entitled to a free slot for any future token created. Additionally, 5% of minting and royalties from any Lutte-based NFTs will be allocated to the DAO.
Audience
Our target audience includes both traditional gamers and Web3 enthusiasts. The full game will be accessible to anyone with a Starknet wallet, with no token gating required. We will focus our promotion efforts on Twitter, Farcaster, YouTube, and Telegram.
Our recent games on Farcaster have been played by over 500 FIDs, with more than 20,000 frames loaded across both Lorecaster and BattleFrame. We plan to promote Lutte on Farcaster and aim to convert new players into the Starknet/Biblio ecosystem.
My early passion for gaming evolved into a full-fledged career in game development. I bring:
1. Eight years of professional experience as a Lua programmer, primarily working with the open-source Solar2D engine. 2. Some experience with C#/Unity, having built simple augmented reality apps using Vuforia. 3. Understanding of the game design process, from concept to completion and publishing.
Recently, I've spent several months working with O_excess to build Loot-related applications and games within the Farcaster ecosystem on Base and Arbitrum. Our flagship project is Lorecast, one of the most complex Frame game currently on Farcaster. It features an inventory system, branching story paths, and secret endings determined by players' in-game actions.
2. @O_Excess (Lore, Worldbuilding and Character design)
Oexcess is a writer and creative who was inspired by the original Loot project. They are currently working on a Loot-inspired graphic novel, interactive games on Farcaster via LoreCast, and contribute regularly to Realms/BiblioDAO.
