From the non-stock allocators talloc ( https://talloc.samba.org/talloc/doc/html/index.html ) seems to be the most popular amongst open-source projects. Would be nice to see some comparison with it.

Do you know of any good malloc benchmarks? Everything I've come across is too primitive to reflect real-world malloc issues. (Thread contention, fragmentation, RSS overhead, etc.)
