In #3735 we vendored the implementation of the verifier smart contract into the cpp/dsl folder. This is an improvement over the previous state as we were vendoring it in the Noir repository however ideally we would automatically pull the implementation from barretenberg/sol, this would ensure that bb always serves the correct version of the smart contract.
