A Book Recommendation and Reader community android application made with Flutter
Pick-A-Book is a mobile application which connects the book readers with each other and provides a platform for sharing their old books. Also this application uses machine learning algorithms to recommend the books to users based on their preferences.
This application is made in Flutter and it uses MongoDB and Firebase as backend databases. Apart from this it uses Python and Flask for the Recommender System.
The highlight features of the application include:
- Community : This is the feature through which user can create a post on the application to share his/her ideas and thoughts.
- Marketplace : User can sell/buy books through this feature.
- Recommendation : The application uses collaborative filtering approach to generate recommendations for the user.
- Aesthetic and simple UI: The interface of the application is simple and easy to learn which is designed in a user-centric way.
