An experiment to surface assembler-like assembling within the WordPress experience itself.

Making a temporary checklist:

  • Add patterns for missing supported categories in Assembler (Editor version).
  • Design footer pagination area.
  • Explore how we can better leverage the dotCom library (and if we should).
  • Add page patterns for missing page categories.
  • Design an end-state flow (perhaps sidebar moves left out of view, centering the canvas, then zoom in/refresh to the site editor in edit canvas mode).
  • Explore: When you first land in the Site Editor, we should have a tip that identifies how you get to the WordPress admin. Should it be in core?
  • Get more variations of images to use as demo content. Maybe ask the themes team to explore? Low priority.
  • Scope the dropzone to the drag images UI (Bug).
  • Connect the images dropzone to upload to the media library.

We should do something with this initial state (perhaps the solution is derived from core)
