Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. Login to WordPress.com as an Author.
  2. Directly access the link `https://newsbeyonddetroit.net/wp-admin/
  3. See error
    User Author Error

What I expected to happen

The WP Admin page should be displayed.

What actually happened

The above-mentioned error is displayed.

Context

I have SU'd to the site using all the Authors ID and all have the same issue. However, all users with Admin access don't encounter the same error.

Browser / OS version

Is this specific to the applied theme? Which one?

Does this happen on simple or atomic sites or both?

Atomic Site so far.

Level of impact (Does it block purchases? Does it affect more than just one site?)

It affects multiple users with only Authors role in one site.

Reproducibility (Consistent, Intermittent) Leave empty for consistent.
