crashed UFO not appearing

when i reach the site of a crashed ufo anomaly it isnt there, they showed up before and they still show up on kerbnet and on S.C.A.N maps, but the actual location is empty. the hitbox seems to still be there as ketbals and solar panels have major issues when in the area, but obviously an invisible hitbox is hard to determine the shape of
