GitOps Pipeline

This GitOps pipeline is designed to prepare, test, build, and deploy a Python application to Kubernetes.

Prerequisites

  • GitLab account and access to a repository
  • Kubernetes cluster with kubectl installed
  • Docker registry to push container images

How to Use

  1. Fork this repository and clone it to your local machine.
  2. Update the gitlab-ci.yml file to include your Docker registry and Kubernetes configuration.
  3. Commit and push the changes to your forked repository.
  4. Set up a GitLab CI/CD pipeline for your repository and watch the pipeline execute.

The pipeline will perform the following actions:

  1. Prepare the Python environment and install dependencies.
  2. Test the code quality with pylint, isort, black, and unittest.
  3. Build a Docker image and push it to the specified Docker registry.
  4. Deploy the Docker image to Kubernetes.
  5. Generate a quality report and display deployment information.
