Resize issue on XeLaTeX

I utilise XeLaTeX for my physics homework. I cannot resize the diagram via \begin{minipage}, \begin{framebox}, \resize{}, or any other method. The diagram is always appearing full-length -- I copy the code between \begin{...}\end{...}.
