(Not sure if this affect other windows versions)

After #284, the name entry contains some garbage characters (many spaces and [) when connecting with telnet catris.net 12345 from Windows XP command prompt.

Also happens on linux tty (i.e. ctrl+alt+f1, not a terminal emulator program)

For whatever reason, linux tty responds to the VT52 ident command \x1bZ with \x1b[?6c. I get no response from the terminal emulators I tried (xterm and mate-terminal).
