Why: As a co-organizer, I want to learn what topic(s) is A11YChi community is interested in

How:

  • Reach out to Web-A11YChi
  • Reach out to Mailing list
  • Reach out to Twitter

Hopeful outcome: Find, invite, and coordinate with presenters who can touch on those topics

Suggested by Seth K.

  • Legal Topics: How do service businesses legally protect themselves while still helping their customer be as accessible as possible
  • Universal Design (not digital)
  • Design Systems and how they impact accessibility
  • SEO and the impacts and potential conflicts with accessibility
  • Native Application (iOS and Android) accessibility
  • Real case studies
  • Accessibility in Agile and how it works or fails

Suggested by Margie C.

  • Implementing accessibility for an organization
  • testing and auditing accessibility
  • Accessible charts and graphs

Suggested by Liz D.

  • Having a few people from bigger industries talk about how they've integrated accessibility into their work stream (Having someone from a larger industry would be good to show its possible there)
