The definition of "curios or relics" includes "curios or relics of museum interest", which indicates to me that the regulation probably means the same thing when it says "relic" and "museum piece".
This is a little bit of a problem because if you search the regulation for "curio or relic", trying to find out all the relevant information about these types of items, you might not find the sections that say "curio or museum piece". It also means that the words "museum piece" don't get a definition link.
It may be helpful to map these terms to each other as equivalent terms, if that is legally accurate.
