Would it be possible to script a smarter AI artillery with the following features (I saw the Arty class on Moose, and thought it would be nice to create some dynamics for AR / CAS missions ) :

Feature 1: Recon team observation at priority targets

  • Artillery fire on observations by a recon team (A dedicated unit , with a pre-fix or set name in the ME)
  • Targets are set with a prefix in the ME (to simulate that the priority of fires for the artillery are set in advance. (For example only fire at other artillery or commandposts). So when the recon team observes the specific target, it will initiate a firemission at that target.
This is intended so the artillery will not fire at any observation, but only at targets that are valid for engagement by artillery.

Feature 2: reposition
For a artillery group , would it be possible to create 2-4 different zones (PAA = Position Area of Artillery) in the ME , and after a firemission, the artillery group moves to one of the other PAAs. Primary intention is to be able to prevent counterfire from artillery. (aswell, as make it harder for AR/CAS flights looking for the artillery)

Feature 3: Information to JTAC

  • For firemissions for friendly artillery. Once a firemission is launched, send information via text to a JTAC unit (textmessage to country works aswell, as I can set JTACs to specific countries only used as JTACs). The textinformation should contain location of the artillery if possible, distance and direction to the target (and if possible, time until it will start launching, which I guess normally is 3 minutes in DCS)

Feature 4: Counterfire

  • If a artillergroup contains a specific unit (simulate a counterfire radar. Can be a unit named with a prefix, or a prefix in the artillery group as a whole), and the artillery group have incoming artillery , then the group immediatly will start a fire mission to the area where they were attacked from.
